A. Shepard is the Delta Force coordinator in F.E.A.R.: First Encounter Assault Recon. He operates under the call sign "Den Mother".

A. Shepard is a capable Delta Force leader, reluctant to send in another squad of soldiers without knowing what happened to the first two teams. He keeps in constant communication with F.E.A.R. coordinator Rodney Betters, letting him know when the Replica Forces have moved to new locations, and informing Betters of the attack on Armacham Technology Corporation Headquarters.
His ultimate fate is unknown, but he is presumably not on field and still alive.
Vivendi Timeline
F.E.A.R. Perseus Mandate
A. Shepard is heard in Interval 01 and 02, he made contact a few time with Rowdy Betters, mostly about missing Delta Force team trapped in Armacham Data and Research Center. He is no longer heard after the Second F.E.A.R. team heading to Armacham Bio-research center.

- "A. Shepard" may be a reference to Adrian Shephard of the Half-Life series.
- In Extraction Point, Betters' radio transmission icon misidentifies him as Shepard.
- He is called Centcom in F.E.A.R. 2.
