F.E.A.R. 2: Project OriginEdit
Although the Black Ops Hazmats have been given the Andra FD-99 Submachine Gun for self defense, they are not soldiers by practice. They are only seen in the hospital levels, likely due to hazardous areas that needed armed men to enter. They carry oxygen tanks that blow up when shot at. The tank inflicts area damage, which means anything near it will be damaged when it explodes, while the unfortunate Hazmat himself will be torn to pieces by the blast. Even heavier enemies will flinch if affected by the blast.
Hazmats are more or less slightly easier versions of regular soldiers. They are dispatched along with the regular soldiers mainly in the hospital levels to perform demolition countdown. A notable difference is that Michael Becket can shoot the oxygen tanks on their backs and kill them and anyone nearby. They are extremely easy to fight with, as they are killed once their tanks are blown up.
ATC Hazmats are sparsely encountered in Reborn, and are fought alongside the Black Ops Light Soldiers, just like before. Once again, they blow up just as easily. However, since Foxtrot 813 does not have Slow-Mo when encountering them, more caution should be taken when fighting them this time around.
The ATC Hazmats are an uncommon enemy that appears only in the Tunnel scenario, and work alongside the replicas in repelling the players.
