John Patrick Lowrie is a Hawaiian voice actor who has had roles in over two dozen video game titles.


Lowrie began his career in 1997 as the narrating voice of Total Annihilation. That same year, he also performed in Spy Fox in "Dry Cereal" and Betrayal in Antara. His best known voice roles are as the sniper in Team Fortress 2, and Odessa Cubbage in Half-Life 2.

He has also voiced The Suffering, its expansion pack, The Suffering: Ties That Bind, Total Annihilation, The Operative: No One Lives Forever and its sequel, No One Lives Forever 2: A Spy in H.A.R.M.'s Way. Lowrie has played the role of Sherlock Holmes in The Further Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, a radio show produced by Jim French Productions.

In 2011, he published a science fiction novel called Dancing with Eternity.

He is married to voice actress Ellen McLain, another well recognized figure in video games.
