Evening, Ma'am, since you were a big fan of F.E.A.R, I decided that this would be a crazy idea to share with you and that you could try yourself.
So, while messing around, using cheats in the game, I got a crazy idea, in the first game, when Norton Mapes runs past the camera, shakes his ass at you, and then run through the gate you were opening, I decided that before I did that, I would place M77 Remote Bombs where Norton would be running, and detonate them when he crossed over. So, when I opened the gate, and he ran over them, I detonated the bombs and it actually killed him! I was actually suprised by this as I thought he was only killable in the expansion pack, Extraction Point.
If you don't believe me, just try it yourself, go over to the area where he runs through, place some remote bombs, and activate the switch that opens a gate to the server room, then, when you feel like it, detonate them when he walks over (I personally did it when he taunted me). If it worked, you should see his dead body when you backtrack to it, but I will say one thing: GOOD LUCK trying to move the dead body, you'll see what I mean.
However, this was tested in the Co-Op Warfare mod for F.E.A.R (since it lets you play the normal story along side custom ones) and I will find out if it's actually possible to kill him in the original game.
There's something wrong with the videos here. They used to show up fine, but the past few days something has gone wrong. Now, there's just red text where the videos used to be, and the rollover text says that the videos don't exist. How can I fix this?
Is there some setting for automatic messages? Is such a thing possible? Why I'm asking is because a few hours ago there appeared on user "Capt. Knust" message wall a welcome message apparently from me, though I did not send such a thing. Does such a message appear on a new user's talkpage automatically from admins, even if they don't know about the user?
I'd like permission to rename the RPL machinegun page, because I just played through F.E.A.R. recently, and the game's rollover text is "RPL Sub-Machinegun" not "RPL Submachinegun," like the Wiki's page is named. Can I rename the page?
Do you mind switching out the old Horror Game network footer with the new one located here? Also, if you can think of any additional horror game communities that should be added to the template, let me know!
Hello Alessa I am writing you because I think I have found an easter egg that people might have missed in FEAR 2 Project Origin. This easter egg happens in the interval #4 Ruin, right after you defeat the first remnant of the game. After defeating the monster you go to a destroyed building and have to push aside a closet and enter another set of rooms. As you follow along into a break room filled with ghosts, the doorway to the right (the only doorway in the room) opens to reveal a hallway. Right in front of that door there are a set of paintings/prints of minimalistic nature. One seems to be showing old Alma, and the other shows young Alma. There is a line shape arm that goes from one painting to the other connecting both figures giving the idea that both of them are connected just like Almas connection between young and old apparitions. Maybe since its minimal art, people might have passed them as random abstract shapes and forms, but they do seem quite noticeable. In any case I thought I would share this here since there is no real mention about it online or even the FEAR 2 easter egg page in this wiki. I also did an image search by uploading an image of it but could not find a post mentioning this online.
Well I will be leaving these images here showing what I’m talking about, hope it’s useful and thanks for your hard work in the wiki.
Cool! Yeah I mean I thought it was worth mention it seems kind of out of place like most easter eggs out there. Right after you pass through the doorway a ghost/spirit appears right from the wall in between the prints as well. That is why they end up ragged in contrast to the picture before.
Haha I love the FEAR games, recently I bought them all through the steam halloween sale so I decided to play through them once more haha for the nostalgia. I still get spooked here and there :P
Just wanted to say hi and see if you or any of the other F.E.A.R admins had any interest in participating in one of Wikia’s Guided Tours. “What the heck is a Guided Tour?” you ask? Good question. Put simply, it’s an article where admins from various Wikis describe their fandom to people who might not know anything about it. Here’s an example for you to check out: http://community.wikia.com/wiki/User_blog:Mhadick/Guided_Tour:_Space_Opera
Think of it as an entryway for people looking to get into the stuff you enjoy. In this case, we’re highlighting Horror/Survival Horror games, and we think you’d have some great input to offer. Anyway, please let me know if you’re interested when you get a chance, and thanks for all your contributions!
Great! I'm taking off for the weekend, but basically we'd just need some recommended horror games you like that you'd think would be a good fit for people new to the genre (and some bad ones that are bad for newcomers), a brief bio of yourself and how you got into the F.E.A.R. Wiki (totally optional, if you're uncomfortable with that, no worries), and a few thoughts on what you like and dislike about the genre/how you got into it.
I can give you some more details on Monday if you have any questions, but feel free to do as much or as little as you're comfortable with. Have a good weekend!
Hey Pseudobread, I just sent you an email. I hope it's okay that I included both my Silent Hill and F.E.A.R. fandom, since I admin on both of those wikis. Let me know if there's anything else you need. :)
